Tired, tired, tired. It certainly was a busy weekend, but it was all good. Lots of life’s milestones and a good reminder how quickly time flies.
Friday was Ethan’s high school graduation. It was a beautiful day and a nice ceremony on the football field at Xaverian Brothers High School. He is off to URI in the fall and his father couldn’t be more proud…
Saturday was his girlfriend’s prom, a cruise on The Odessey in Boston Harbor…how times have changed!
He is very much the handsome devil, much like his dad. It is all such a great time in their lives and reminds me of this young couple from 1985…
We capped it all off with a graduation party at the house yesterday. Lots of good food, fun, family and friends! Also, a lot of work and we are pooped, but it only happens once and it was worth it.
Speaking of growing up too fast…my niece, now 16, made her confirmation on Saturday afternoon (my Dad was her sponsor). She is a beautiful, smart young lady and it won’t be long until she is having a graduation weekend – yikes! It seems like just yesterday she had us all wrapped around her tiny little finger marching around the house following her as she led the parade.
So, breast cancer had to take a back seat for the weekend and it was a welcome change. Today is back to reality and back to radiation. I’m exhausted with a very sore underarm, swollen hands, and aching joints but glad to have been a part of all the great memories that were created this weekend.
