Here’s hoping everyone had a great Thanksgiving. One of my favorite holidays. We had a great day! My fog lifted in time to get an apple pie made Wednesday afternoon and by Thursday I felt almost normal. We started the day with a nail-bitter of a win for the King Phillip Warriors who drove over 95 yards in less than 3 minutes to score the winning touchdown with 8 seconds left. Thank god!
We were fortunate to spend the day with the Lee Family. Our friends Brian & Colleen have a beautiful home, a great family and brother-in-laws that make amazing turkeys! We joined them last year and must have behaved as we were invited back for another year. Brian is the head coach of the King Phillip Warriors and his dad is a legendary retired high school football coach, so you can understand how thankful we were for that game winning drive…
So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving I thought I’d share some of the other things I am thankful for this year (in no particular order):
* my friends & family
* Lefty (she is now healing up nicely)
* Anti-nausea drugs
* my ducky blanket
* our nice home
* my handsome husband
* smart doctors
* Yankee Candle (and everyone who works there)
* my health (besides this breast cancer crap)
* my life
Most of all, I am thankful for my parents. They built me strong, tough and resilient, just like them!
So glad you were feeling well. Great thankful list. And agree…your parents did an awesome job😄
We loved having you there on Thanksgiving!! Glad our family didn’t scare you off!!
Hope your having a nice weekend!! xoxo
