It’s been 3 1/2 months since I last made the trek down the Mass Pike to my home away from home Western Mass. Given my cold is better (despite the lingering cough) and I feel pretty good come mid week, it was time for a visit. Plus, for those following along, I brought something home from my last visit that needed to be returned…
The BBC Steel Rail is all gone…it took until the end of January, but Greg got the job done! Somebody had to do it and I was not much help. So, the empty keg went back the same way it came home, as my co-pilot.
It was a good trip. After a visit to my tax guy, I was off to Joe’s Pizza to join my regular Tuesday night crew. Good times! I stayed with my friend/roomie, Hope, at her condo Tuesday night and caught up on all “important” life matters. Felt like I never left, except I couldn’t remember which toothbrush was mine!
Wednesday morning I had a doctor’s appointment in Northampton and then it was up to see the good folks at Yankee Candle. Great to be back roaming the halls, although there were quite a few double-takes. Not sure if it was just that I haven’t been around for a while or because I was rocking the wig, which is longer and straighter than my old hair. I should have just rocked the baldy look which would have really thrown them off. Anyways, great to see everyone and hear all the office “scoop”. Looking forward to being back and part of the action later this Spring…
All in all a successful trip, but now I’m pooped! So, I’m back home and resting on the trusty couch getting ready for another dose of chemo on Friday. I am chipping away week by week and before I know it I’ll be trading in weekly chemo for the weekly trek down the Pike…
