I’m back! You don’t realize how good it is to feel good until you feel like crap for a week when there is nothing you can do about it. I’m going to enjoy it for a few days before I have to go back on Friday and see what the next phase of chemo drugs does to me.

Yesterday, feeling better, I decided to make a nice dinner for us while watching the football games. It was my first day back cooking since my last chemo. (I eat ok in the days after the chemo, but the preparing of food does not sit well!). So, I tried this recipe I saw Friday morning on Good Morning America – Emeril Lagasse’s Braised Pork Chops with Apples and Onions.

OMG, it was yummy, but who am I? Seriously, I now watch the cooking segments in the 8:30 segment of Good Morning America (from bed) and then I make them?? Wow, I’ve been out of work for 3 months and things sure have changed. Yes, I’ve always liked Good Morning America, but I used watch the 7 – 7:30 real news segment while I got dressed for work, but now all I see is the 8:30 – 9:00 fluff from bed! Yikes, the real kicker for me was I actually then made the recipe, never did that before…

It’s all good, I don’t wake up until 8:30 because my body has been through a lot and I need the rest, I understand that and am certainly not complaining. It’s just different. I gotta run, I am meeting a friend for lunch at 12:30. Again, who am I?
